Honored to have shared my thoughts on the critical issue of tick-borne diseases in the military alongside Major Anders Karlsen on @projectlyme's latest blog, "Our Troops At Risk."
As a former U.S. Air Force officer and fighter pilot, I've seen firsthand how our service members, veterans, and their families, are at a heightened risk of acquiring tick-borne diseases due to their global assignments and deployments. The military’s gross lack of education, awareness, and proper training with regard to tick-borne illnesses has staggering consequences for military readiness. I share my thoughts on the urgent need for change – not just for our military, but for our national security.
